Israeli poet and songwriter, born 6 February 1948 in Jerusalem where he still lives. During his military service he was a narrator the first music program editor at Galei Tzahal, Israel's military radio station, and then served in the same roles for the Israel Broadcasting Authority, where he worked for 35 years. Barak has written over 400 popular and folk songs during his long career.
