The Strangers

From Germany Frankfurt

In 1961 the people Richard Ungerath, Elmar Marz, Ehrhard Marz and Rainer Marz founded the group "The Rockets".
In January 1964 they changed their name to "The Strangers".
In 1964 or 1965 the name was changed again to "The Kingbeats".
For certain recordings in 1966 they called themselves "The Ad-Libs", "The Ad-Libs + Antonius", "Malepartus II.", "The Richard Brothers", "The Kingbeats", "Ray Textor Und Die Strangers" and probably also "Onkel Schorsch".

In addition to the four founding members, "Joachim Franz" was also a member of "The Rockets". When the name changed from "The Rockets" to "The Strangers", he left the band.
The members "Peter Walliser" and "Hans-Werner Heine" joined "The Strangers".
