German hymn writer, choir leader, teacher and organist, born 30 August 1823 in Iggelheim, Germany and died 9 March 1899 in Zweibrücken, Germany. Due to the failure of a biographer, who gave him the name of his father, he is often credited as Johann Heinrich Lützel.
