German Austrian composer, born 27th of February 1924 in Rodolstadt, deceased 22.09.2005 in Baden near Vienna.
After injury with paralisation of the right hand during WW II he could not pursue his career as an instrumentalist and became conductor of various opera-houses.

Furthermore noteworthy seems that from his legacy the "Heimo Erbse Förderpreis für Rockmusik" (approx: "Award for Rockmusic") is financed till today.
