Real name: Vortex, The
The Vortex was a monthly (2nd Fri. 11pm -12) program on WORT 89.9fm in MADISON, WI that showcased local experimental music. It also presents LIVE shows @ MOTHER FOOL'S (1101 Williamson St., Madison, WI) and on the WORTfm airwaves. It also serves as the group name for the collective improvised jams recorded at these events.
