8-Bit Porno was a solo project started by Adam Mokan in 2002. The project grew to include Todd Gillissie and Jim Bielecki in early 2004 before touring with Japan's Government Alpha, PBK, and Metal Dungeon later that summer.

The project is currently based out of Phoenix, Arizona where Adam currently resides. Members now flow in and out freely for performances, but most recording and production is still a collaboration effort between Mokan, Bielecki, and Gillissie.
