Blackhorned, a side-project made by Ravishing drummer Atziluth (Michael Huhle), was created in 2001 in Denmark. The first demo, "Satan", was recorded same year and was featured as a b-side on the following demo, "Demonic Domain", in 2002. It was well received and same year the third demo, "Troops of Death", was released.

In 2003 the full-length album "Infernal Journey" was released along with the split EP, "United Forces of Evil", which was done with Vanvid. Tracks for a second album, "Arrival of the Firedemon", was recorded same year. A promo tape was sent out in order to get it released. In 2004 the fourth demo, "The Lost Tracks of Mysticism", was released.
