Gerard Akkerhuis

Dutch organist, born in 1934 in Voorburg and died in 1994 in Warmond. Gerard Akkerhuis was appointed organist of the Nieuwe Kerk at the Spui in The Hague in 1959. In 1967 he was appointed chorus master and organist at the Kloosterkerk in The Hague. He was the conductor and musical director of the Residentie Bachkoor, the Residentie Kamerkoor and the Residentie Bachorkest.
