Successful duo of the classic Caipira era of Sertanejo music.

They had their own radio show for years and were likely the first crossover artists from Sertanejo that really got accepted into the mainstream “highbrow” music (before that, most successful caipira artists were either comedians or modinha duos). They were nicknamed “A Dupla Coração do Brasil” (The Core Duo of Brazil). In the 90s, they passed the torch of their title to Chitãozinho & Xororó.
