In their early days as a trio of Tim Crowther, Algy Ward and Steve Clarke, this avant rock fusion outfit were named Groon after the obscure King Crimson "Cat Food" B Side and Earthbound live track. But as it was a Robert Fripp invented word they temporarily renamed themselves Grune for the one cassette pre-release / demo prior to the "Refusal To Comply" album. Later the band were rebranded again as Network.
