He won several awards as an actor (1958: "Triumph Award" for "Rapsodia de sangre".
1972: "Circle Writer's Medal" for Best Actor in "La semana del asesino".

He popularized songs like "Cariño Mio" (EP of the film of the same title), "Yo Que He Sido Rey"...Etc.

His musical style is mainly boleros and melodic song.
