Casey Benjamin (born in Jamaica, Queens, on October 10, 1978 – died March 31, 2024) was a two-time Grammy Award winning saxophonist, vocalist, keyboardist, producer, songwriter, and DJ from New York City. He is the original member of the Robert Glasper Experiment and Stefon Harris Blackout as well as one half of the funk duo HEAVy with vocalist Nicky Guiland. He also worked with Q-Tip, Mos Def, Phillip Bailey, Patrick Stump, Anderson Paak, Kanye West, Pusha T, Solange, Lupe Fiasco Mary J. Blige, Wycleff Jean, Angie Stone, Vernon Reid, Melvin Gibbs, and Arto Lindsay, among others.
