Biography
Trioxyde
Members: Sébastien Arcand
TRIOXYDE is a progressive jazz rock fusion band from Québec Canada. Founded in 1990 in Montreal by guitarist and composer Jean-François Girard, the band started its career as a power trio, promoting its music via local and national radios, bars and also some well renowned jazz events in Quebec. By 1995, Trioxyde had turned into a quartet with the addition of a sax player. This progressive metamorphosis can be heard on their first EP album release "Fantôme" (1996). In 2003, the saxophone was replaced by a keyboardist and a first full-length album in 2006. Signing with Unicorn Digital in 2010, the band released "Hey Carlos", a jazz-fusion tribute to Carlos Santana, among others.
