Swedish singer and songwriter, also known as Erik Aschan Zürcher (where Zürcher is after Aschan's father), born January 1, 1953 in Stockholm.

His father was Dutch who after a short time returned to his homeland. Erik Aschan grew up in Västerås, where he lived for several periods in a foster family because the mother was busy with her professional activities. At the age of 20, he released his first record on his own, when no record company was interested in his work. His texts are partly left-wing political, but also deal with existential problems. His records are collectors' items, partly because he destroyed his entire stock of unsold records in the early 1990s.
