Maria Wickman participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1982 with the tune "Dags att börja om igen" and Melodifestivalen 1983 with "Okej, jag ger mig", which ended in a shared sixth place. She has also sung with the Electric Banana Band. She is the daughter of Putte Wickman and Estelle Christensen and sister of Basse Wickman, half sister of Anna Olsdotter Arnmar.
