The Zimriyah Choir was founded in the late 1950's by it's Musical Director Ellis D. Shortt. Originally formed to study & sing Hebrew & Israeli music, the choir extended its repertoire to include Italian, Yogoslav, Japanese, Hungarian, French & Negro Spiritual music, in addition to madrigals & folk songs of the British Isles.
