Singer from Burscough, Lancashire, UK. Townsend was signed as second label artist by OBM Records after she was noticed performing at a college dance with a group of students. The band had no name and only performed for college events, but Sally was interested in starting a recording career, as her college studies were about completed. Sally made promotional appearances in England on radio, tv stations and some discos. Before her debut release, she did studio work as backing/session singer on various sessions for bands and artists from the Merseyside area.
