Soviet and Canadian classical pianist of Georgian descent (born 6 Oct. 1936 in Tbilisi, Georgia, USSR), principal soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic Society during 25 years, she has been the first female Soviet instrumentalist to perform in North America (1963). She now lives in Montreal, Canada, since 1992.
