Dionísio Rocha was born on August 26th, 1945.He is affectionately called “Man-Diô” by those closest to him. For his 70th birthday party in 2015, he reunited with the other musicians of the dormant group Negoleiros do Ritmos, with the line-up Mário Fernandes , Joãzinho Morgado , Almerindo Cruz , Zé Fininho , Lindo Vendido and Dulce Trindade.
