US band that was formed in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon. Group members call it a little orchestra that crosses several styles, such as classical, traditional pop, latin and jazz. The co-lead vocalists of Pink Martini are China Forbes and Storm Large.Sympathique was the album that started it all for Pink Martini. Since 1997, the group have been touring around the world playing concerts in the United States, Japan, Europe and many other places. After being gone for a long time, their second release, "Hang On Little Tomato" was released 7 years after their debut album.
