The Blue Moon Boys, featuring lead vocalist Nic Roulette, harken back to the hipster sounds of the 1950s. While rooted in the rockabilly tradition, the Indiana-based quartet incorporates elements of swing, R&B and punk rock to create a unique, hard-driving, sound. Chicago/Milwaukee-based magazine The Onion wrote that the Blue Moon Boys "should be commended for having lots of rockaswingapunkabilly fun with the new rock and roll." According to "The City Beat" of Cincinnati, "essentially an ace rockabilly crew.... .their music swings harder than most of the new swing bands crowding the circuit."
