Real name: Joseph G. Burns

Multi-instrumentalist (primarily double/acoustic bass, accordion, cello, harmonica, guitar, keyboards), born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 10, 1968.
Grew up in Southern California, where he combined an education in classical music with a burgeoning interest in the LA punk scene centred around SST Records. Co-founder of Calexico.
Brother of John Burns (3). Little known about private life, but did have a relationship with singer Neko Case.
