Chester Campbell
Early jazz brass bassist.
Campbell came out of Pittsburgh in 1923 with Billy Paige's Broadway Syncopators. With Bill Brown and his Brownies in 1927, recorded with Lloyd Scott (2) in 1927 and with Cliff Jackson & His Crazy Kats in 1930. After 1930 in lesser known Harlem bands.
