Superfly is a pop/rock project from Japan. Formed in 2004 as a blues rock band featuring Shiho Ochi (vocals) and Koichi Tabo (guitar), naming themselves after Curtis Mayfield's song "Superfly". The group split up in 2005, and Superfly became a duo with only Ochi and Tabo remaining when they went to Tokyo to seek out a label.

In 2007 Koichi Tabo left, and since that time Superfly became a solo project of lyricist and vocalist Shiho Ochi with former guitarist Koichi Tabo still credited as the group's composer and part-time lyricist.
