Luxury Stranger is an English band mainly influenced by the sounds of European and UK post-punk/cold wave and indie from 1978 - 1984 and the American ‘Grunge’ and alternative rock scenes of the late eighties/early nineties. Luxury Stranger was founded in 2006 by Simon York when he wrote and recorded the Desolation album as a solo project. After forming a live band, LS progressed into the live arena and through this (as well as utilising a strong online pressence and through radio play), the band built up a strong and faithful following across the UK, parts of Europe, the US and Australia.

The current line-up is: Simon York, Harry Hallam and Martin Valentine.
