British reggae A&R manager and producer. Together with Chris Sedgwick, in 1975 he opened a much frequented reggae & soul record store in West Ealing, London, later moving to Shepherd's Bush. In 1977, the two founded Greensleeves Records, one of the most successful and long-lasting UK reggae labels. In 2007, after selling Greensleeves to Zest Group, Cracknell temporarily retired from music business.
