Hal Harbour

Real name: Doug Barron

Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada

Was a radio personality at CFNY-FM and Q104 in the late 80's / early 90's. Played with Stunt Chimps For Burgess Meredith!, opening for MC 900 Ft Jesus & Digital Poodle. Was exec producer of Casby Music Awards.

He moved back to Halifax during the early 90's when Halifax was considered "the new Seattle" and helped Terry Pulliam build his SoundMarket Studios (Sloan, Jale, Cool Blue Halo, Bubaiskull, Thrush Hermit, Eric's Trip) He worked with Sara Craig and Stephen Outhit on Sara Craig - Sweet Exhaust

He recorded albums at his own Deep Nine Studios for Burnt Black, The Purple Helmets, Q, Ellen Regan Devine, Sandbox, & Lesley Choyce And The Surf Poets.

Hal/Barron wrote & recorded music for TV, radio and film as well as for the dance floor of your mind.

In the early 2000s, Barron appeared on select episodes of Trailer Park Boys as "Steve Rogers".

Doug Barron passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 71.
