AREA was a band from A Guarda (Pontevedra), a little town in the NorthWest of Spain. They had their roots on the Washington D.C. HardcorePunk scene, highly influenced by bands such as FUGAZI but also Barcelona-based band AINA.
The name of the band means 'Sand' in Galician language, not 'surface' or other Mathematics-related concepts.
