Floyd Lee, aka Theodore Williams, was an American blues musician, born in Lamar, Mississippi 8 August 1933, He traveled around the US before settling in New York City in 1972, where he was best known for his passionate performances of blues music in and around New York's subway stations for almost 30 years, before recording four albums on the Amogla Records label and touring - alone or with his band No Mean Blues Band - in his later years. Mean Blues became one of his more popular numbers, Floyd Lee died 7 June, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio, aged 86.
