Born Phillip S. Wilson on June 19, 1940 in Sydney Ohio. He first recorded for Cloverleaf records in 1959 as Phil Wilson. He later became an actor appearing in such 80's films as "Mischief" and "Teachers", before becoming a professor at a performing arts school in Columbus Ohio.
