Joel de Almeida was a Brazilian singer, composer and broadcaster. He was particularly successful performing Carnival marches from the 1940s onwards.
Born November 5, 1913 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — died April 1, 1993 in São Paulo, Brazil.

At the beginning of his career, he formed a successful duo with the singer "Gaúcho". At the end of the decade, the duo disbanded and Joel pursued a career recording alone, after a short comeback in the early 1950s.
