Artistic name of Flávio Basso (Porto Alegre, January 26, 1968 - Porto Alegre, December 21, 2015), also known as Jupiter Apple, a Brazilian singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and filmmaker. A fundamental reference of the gaucho rock (rock from the southern State of Rio Grande do Sul), he was the founder of the bands TNT (35) and Os Cascavelletes, both of which influenced a whole new generation of gaucho bands from the 90's onwards. In solo career, he officially adopted alias "Júpiter Maçã" for his recordings in Portuguese and was recognized as one of the icons of Brazilian psychedelia.
