ВИА Фантазия were organized in the Moscow Philharmonic in 1975. The emphasis in the ensemble was on the folklore genre, but later they switched to a typical estrada music. Further, by the beginning of the 80s, Фантазия began to be performed by the very popular recently appeared disco/funk. Finally, by 1983, the band switched to heavy rock music (and on this, the "VIA stage" was over). The result of this was a cassette album in 1984, self-released under the band name Кое-кто ("Someone") (probably because the former name no longer sounded so appropriate). Subsequently, in December 1985, the group would finally become known as Магнит.
