Despite a pair of appearances on Mathematics, and releases on Bio Rhythm, Until My Heart Stops, and La Beauté Du Négatif, DeViere happily resides under the underground.

DeViere has been a fixture in the Boston college radio scene for nearly 20 years. Opportunities to explore the vast radio station record libraries, and to rub elbows with DJs of all genres has greatly influenced his style of play. DeViere champions an uncompromising and fiercely eclectic music ethos as a resident DJ for the Progressive Black radio show, currently on 90.3 FM WZBC. He's the rare DJ not only willing to venture from disco to house to techno and back again, all in a single set, but able to do so convincingly.

Juno Plus describes DeViere’s productions as “exciting new mutations on the Detroit-informed side of machine music, working in dub techno influences amongst a gritty, Chicago-flavored finish that brims with curious, ear-snagging ideas.” His sound is one that doesn’t fit easily into a box; each release often stretches across multiple genres, which has likely made him hard to market out of the gate, but blesses the discerning listener.
