Hissey Miyake formed in 2009 over their shared love of ESG and post punk bands. In 2011, Matthew Jonas left the band and it was subsequently changed to the name of Glovv. Lei and Mai continue to play music under the name Glovv.

The popular Hissey Miyake and Terrible Truths split 7 inch was released in 2012. Hissey Miyake’s track “Waste Time” was included on BSR’s 5 year anniversary release.
