The Thameside Four
Members: Long John Baldry, Redd Sullivan, Pete Maynard, Marian Gray
The Thameside Four originally comprised Redd Sullivan, Pete Maynard, Marian Gray and Long John Baldry. They performed skiffle music at The Thameside, a restaurant on the South Bank of the River Thames in London which gave the band its name. In 1961, after Baldry's departure, budding actor Martin Carthy joined and the band also became known as the Thamesiders.
