Afflitus is a metalcore band from Bronx in New York City, New York.

Born out of New York City in 1998, Afflitus has been one of the most passionate metal bands to come out of the New York Underground in recent years, building a name for itself amongst the NYC Metal scene.

Founded by Alex Kostas & Chris Villari, what started out as a garage band has become a powerful music entity in the NYC scene. Since the conception of Afflitus, the road the band has traveled has been one of self-discovery. While Afflitus has experimented with various metal genres, one thing has remained true; We will never compromise our musical & artistic intergrity.

Throughout the years Afflitus has gone through multiple line-ups with each member bringing their own unique inspirations into the sound.

Afflitus disbanded in 2007 but regrouped in 2015.
