Dimosioypalliliko Retire are an experimental rock group from Thessaloniki, Greece, whose name translates as "Public Sector Worker Penthouse". The band formed in 1984 when all three members were already in their thirties. Two of the three came from visual arts backgrounds; the other had participated in many groups, including A Priori, to which he still belongs. Politically left-wing, the group concentrated first on multimedia performances at building sites, open-air markets, galleries, parks and concert halls. In 1987, they released a cassette, Who's Afraid of Phenylketonuria?, followed by Gestures in 1988.
