Real name: Evert Overweg

Dutch drummer, arranger and bandleader, born 25 May 1936 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, died 18 July 2003 in Portugal.
Overweg was the son-in-law of Arie Malando. Already a drummer in the Malando orchestra, the leadership of the orchestra was passed on to him in 1979.
He is the father of Danny Malando (Danny Overweg) who became the third generation leader of the orchestra in the late 1990s.
