Gilberto Amaro do Nascimento, aka Giba Giba, was a Brazilian percussionist and singer-songwriter (b. 06 December 1940, Pelotas, RS — d. 03 February 2014, Porto Alegre, RS). He became known for playing a particular type of drum called "sopapo". Cultural activist linked to black movements, he was also one of the founders and first president of the Praiana samba school from Porto Alegre.
