Die Mooskirchner

Members: Helmut Färber, Wolfgang Matzhold, Freydl Helmut, Sepp Mattlschweiger, Friedl Lazarus

In 1975 the former band leader Helmut Freydl co-founded the Mooskirchner Quintett group. They presented their home Styria as a professional music group in Europe since the 1970s and stood on stage for up to 300 days a year. In this formation, music was played together for 15 years until, due to professional changes of some musicians, Helmut Freydl reorganized the group as "Die Mooskirchner" in 1989.

At the end of 2011 there was a change of musician. The accordionist and composer Helmut Freydl, who shaped and led the Mooskirchners for 36 years, changed his career and gave his last concert with the Mooskircheners in February 2012.

As a replacement for Helmut Freydl, Mooskirchen were able to win Mario Pirsterer. A top accordionist who is one of the very best in the business.

In December 2016 there was the last change of musicians. The clarinetist and composer Helmut Färber leaves Mooskirchen after 27 years and changes to a trio line-up as professional musicians.

Mario Pirsterer: Accordion, Keyboards, Vocals
Wolfgang Schlosser: Guitar, Trumpet, Vocals
