One of the first doom metal band from Russia. Founded as Exgumator in 1991 in Nizhny Novgorod, soon monicker changed to Gothic Castle. In 1993 in Moscow's TEFF studio band recorded 2 tracks for vinyl 7"EP "The Odd" on Final Holocaust Records, but label was closed and these songs were published on MC-compilation Gothic Castle - Closer To Roots / The Odd only.
After split-up in 1999, band re-united in 2013.
