This legendary gospel quartet was formed in 1937 and recorded for a variety of labels including Specialty, Savoy, Vee Jay & Elektra.
They achieved their greatest early success in 1949 with "I Can See Everybody's Mother But Mine".
They should not be confused with Five Blind Boys Of Mississippi. Members: Johnny Fields, bass, Olice Thomas, baritone, George Scott, tenor, Clarence Fountain and Reverend Samuel K. Lewis, leads
