Curtis Johnson

Real name: Curtis Lambert Johnson

American rockabilly singer, songwriter and guitarist. Born February 11, 1934, in Bradley, Alabama. Died May 2, 2001 in Rosingtown, Alabama.

Johnson, who cited Elvis Presley as an influence, was a regular on WMTW-TV. He learned many instruments in his lifetime, and was able to play the piano, saxophone, drums and guitar. He recorded singles between the years 1956-1958 through a record label based out of Maine called Event. Some of these remained unissued recordings and were released in the 1970's.
