The Mouth Organ Swingers

Effective period / Period of releases: 1951

Members: Georges Jamart, Guy Pollehus, Georges Vandenbergh, Willy Leener, Jean Bax

Belgian band formed in the beginning of 1945, initially by Paul Herbiet (chromatic harmonica), Willy Leener (chromatic harmonica) and Séraphin Gens (guitar). Georges Vandenberghe joined in 1947, when he met Willy Leener.
The band varied throughout its existence, although often comprising 5 musicians.

They changed their name during the first semester of 1955 to "Les Morgan's" (sometimes appearing as "The Morgan's", or simply "Morgans"), because their original name (The Mouth Organ Swingers) was difficult to pronounce, especially in France. Morgan's comes from Mouth Organ swingers.
