Progression is Finnish instrumental progressive jazz rock fusion band and originally founded at 1976 in Jalasjärvi. The band recorded a jazz rock demo, which included songs "The Dream of Cecilia" and "Bright Light from High".

After twenty years these songs still remain the essence of the band. In 2002 the Progression's founder member Harri Nokso felt a desire to restart the project. New players were found and soon Progression was playing with new energy and goals.
