BUDD, a Birmingham native, may already have a string of aliases and achievements under his belt, but the relentless hype from dance floors and DJs worldwide is proving that the powerhouse productions coming from his BUDD persona are truly the work of a man on the way to the top of his game.
With over a decade in the shadows, ghost-writing, touring (playing drums & percussion) and soundtracking TV and Film, his new project highlights all of the strings in his bow. It’s now time for BUDD to step out of those proverbial shadows and cement his name as a major force in the electronic world.
BUDD’s productions are driven by melody, encompassing the full spectrum of progressive house, from deep and dreamy to Goliath-sized anthems. BUDD’s added twist incorporates 80’s inspired undertones. Often compared with heavyweight luminaries such as Pryda and Deadmau5, BUDD’s productions have seen releases on respected labels like Toolroom, Blackhole, cr2, Armada and Zerothree. BUDD’s notoriety is rising rapidly, gaining high profile support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 as well as regular love from Gareth Emery and Above & Beyond who welcomed him to guestmix on their Group therapy Radio whilst showcasing numerous releases. DJ mag dubbed “Magnetic Souls” as one of their songs of the summer in 2016, whilst ‘Idlewylde’ was heavily used to
promote EDC 2017 in Las Vegas across all of it’s socials.
BUDD is the inimitable vision of a man who has nurtured his own sound, melancholic and understated – a must listen for 2017, a year that will see him put his sound above the parapet with a plethora of releases and some phenomenal live shows.
