Effective period / Period of releases: 1983 - 1986

Mexican composer and singer. Rafael Buendía Díaz de León, also known as El compositor de los pobres, was born on February 29 in Rancho Nuevo de Morelos, Zacatecas. From his father he inherited the facility to create verses: "He had a lot of spark to write -either in manuscript or machine- letters that described events in his environment. I believe that from there arose in me the interest to make rhymes, added to that I always liked music, "he shares.
In 1970 he began professionally in this medium, with the ranchero genre, as a composer and singer, directing his recordings and making arrangements for his songs. His first recorded works are Amor Norteño and La Chinita, and others of his themes are Aborrezco, Caballo Plateado, Mi Amigo El Borracho, Maldita Soledad, El Calabaceado, Juana La Mojada, Corazón Engrandecido, Amargo Dolor, Que Bonita Chaparrita and Las Fiestas De Mi Pueblo, to mention a few.
