Charles Davis

American jazz saxophonist and composer.
He played previously tenor and alto saxophone, then baritone.
Raised in Chicago and active since the 50s, he performed extensively with Sun Ra and Archie Shepp and worked with many jazz legends including Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington and Lionel Hampton, among others.

Died July 15, 2016 in New York City, New York
