Members: Tito Renteros, Rodrigo Wangeman, Juan Valcárcel

Los Protones are an instrumental rock band that began their journey in Lima, Peru, in 2007. They fuse musical genres from the 60s such as psychedelia, surf, garage rock and Latin American rhythms. The current lineup features Gonzaleo (guitar), Tito (drums), Jimi (keyboard), Andrés (bass), and Lucía (violin).

They have released four studio albums: “Los Protones” (Discos Gordos, 2009), “Hijas del Diablo” (A Tutiplén, 2011), “Maravilla!” (A Tutiplén, 2013) and “Mission OA4” (A Tutiplén, 2018). In June 2024 they released their first compilation album on vinyl, "Psico Surf 2007-2023", Rey Record), and before that in 2015 the compilation CD “20 Monstruos! 2007-2015” (Green Cookie Records). Likewise, throughout their career the band has released several EPs, singles and appearances on various Peruvian and foreign compilations. Their most recent EP is "Double Feature" (Baratos Afins, 2023), shared with the Brazilian band Os Brutus. They have performed in countless concerts in Peru, Latin America and Europe, including four international tours.
